Even heroes need help. Where would Luke be without Yoda, where would Harry Potter be without Professor Dumbledore or Daniel without Mr. Miyagi?

Now image you are a foster youth, with little guidance in your journey through the foster care system, and then you are launched into the life of adulthood with nothing more than the clothes on your back and a black plastic trash bag. Tough thought, huh.

What’s really sad is that there are many non-profit organizations in the community with the purpose of empowering and supporting foster youth aging out of the system; but, many foster youth aging out of the system do not know about these valuable resources.

That stops today! Our Launchpad Partner Hub is being developed to provide a cooperative approach of nonprofit partners with a common mission to serve aging out foster youth by providing quick and smooth access to these wonderful nonprofit services across Arizona. Basically, we are the one stop hub helping foster youth find the services for success. Whether it’s furniture for a foster youth’s first apartment, access to housing programs, help with transportation, employment opportunities, career mentorship, etc. – we have them covered.

This is a big initiative that requires a lot of connectivity, relationship building, work with government agencies, group homes and the foster youth themselves. We like big challenges, it brings the best out in us!
