FOSTERING HEROES FOUNDATION

EMPOWERING FOSTER YOUTH WITH THE TOOLS TO SHAPE THEIR OWN LIVES

Galadriel Coury

Executive Director

Galadriel began volunteering in group homes when she was in junior high, where she learned the importance of being a role model and safe space for kids going through tough times. While studying Economics at Harvard, she was struck by how often solutions for intergenerational mobility, educational equity, homelessness, and other systemic issues overlook the foster care population. She grew to believe that it was not only morally necessary to support foster youth – the ripple effects of setting up kids for success have infinite potential.

As Executive Director, she is excited to drive long-term results for foster youth as they enter adulthood. She wants to equip foster youth with the skills and support they need to achieve jobs, housing, and self-sufficiency. By working closely with youth to meet their needs and connecting with stakeholders, organizations, and volunteers throughout the greater Phoenix community, she is confident we will meet this goal.

In my spare time, I love to spend time with family and friends, travel, go shooting, and spend time in my second home in Rocky Point, Mexico.

Chuck holds a bachelors’ degree as a software engineer from ASU. He and his wife Cara along with their 3 Frenchie’s enjoy the beautiful sun Arizona has to offer where they call home.

Jason Schuerhoff

My name is Jason Schuerhoff, and I live in Mesa, Arizona. I’ve built my career in technology, helping organizations make better use of their data. It’s work I enjoy, but what really drives me is using my time and energy to make a difference in people’s lives.

I’ve been involved with Fostering Heroes because I believe in the power of community and second chances. Every kid deserves someone who shows up, listens, and believes in them. That’s what this group is about, and that’s why I’m proud to be a part of it.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outside — mountain biking, camping, or on my Harley exploring new roads. Arizona’s been a great home base for doing the things I love and staying grounded in what matters most: people, purpose, and giving back.
